Beep.

Jack gazed longingly down at his lover, who simply stared up at him sweetly. A ghost of a smile played across her face as her eyes glistened from the fluorescent lights above.

"Jack, please do it."

Beep.

He chewed on his cheek, doubts invading his mind. Was this really what she wanted? Why him?
The girl below him frowned, as if reading his mind. A warm, soft hand caressed his face, and he could not help but lean into it and savor it's loving touch.

"Please."

Beep.

Jack released a shaky sigh and reluctantly grunted a response. The surrounding white walls seem to close in on him, and the interval beeps pounded in his ears. He gripped his scalpel, giving her a reassuring yet futile smile. The girl's blind eyes only read pure happiness. How he would miss her gorgeous eyes, even if his lover herself hated them to no end.

He didn't want her to be a monster like him.

But she did.

Beep.

Removing her eyes, he was forced to close his own, not being about to bear the sight.

"Thank you, Jack. I love you."

Beep.......

She kissed him, smiling one last time as her hollow eyelids gently closed. Ebony tears flowed down Jack's face as he placed her ocean eyes in his pockets, their crimson liquid weighing him down like a noose. He kissed her cold lips one last time and climbed out of the hospital room window.

"I love you too..."

_{explanation: basically the reader is blind and dying, and her dying wish was for Jack to keep her eyes (which he loved dearly, even if she didn't) as a namesake.
